Installation

• Download archive, and decompress it (tar jxf <filename>).
• Go to the created directory and compile : make
• As root, install package : make install
  This will install binaries in /usr/local/bin.

Usage of dr-tools

Go in a directory in a partition where you have enough free space : dr-fat doesn't allow to write in-place yet.

dr-fat <filename>, with filename being either a partition image file, or the partition device name. It must be a seekable device.

dr-fat will create a sub-directory called dr-fat_data where recovered data and logs will be stored.

Usage of dr-ext

There is no progress bar ! Just wait. While your hard drive LED is lit, everything is OK. It takes a long time to scan that disk. Be patient.
